My ears have been treated to an incredible delight

I am in awe…….

I watched………. more importantly I listened

I heard Beethoven performed as I have never heared it before. My mind has seen pastures, mountains, streams, love, excitement, surprise, and the joy of being human all through the singular sense of my ears. The acoustics of the Symphony Hall at the Sydney Opera house is beyond words to describe. I have heard the symphony as a conductor hears it. Every instrument unique but part of a collective sound. With my eyes closed I could discern the location and distance of every single performer. It could be soft like the air in Hawaii or bold like a wind down Mount Everest. It was euphoric.

We saw/heard The Sydney Symphony perform Beethoven’s Symphony Nos 1, 8, and 7. I wish they had recorded these performance as this conductor was the best I have seen or heard at his realization of Beethoven’s music.

I am in AWE!

Here is a review in the Sydney Hearld.
